Charter Transportation to and from tour sites
Charter transportation to and from each event originates and terminates at the National Museum of the Confederacy in Columbia, Tennessee. Walking Home Tours is not officially associated with the Sons of Confederate Veterans but have been graciously given permission by the SCV executive director to use their facility to onboard and off board Walking Home Tour patrons. From there all COV (charter owned vehicle) tours will depart and return. There is ample parking and the facility is new and well appointed. While in Columbia there are many sites associated with the Civil War that would be worth an extended trip in order to take advantage of the opportunity to see these sites while here.

At present Walking Home Tours uses 14 passenger vans for our charter transportation. Seating is comfortable but space is limited so travel light to and from the event. Each event is approximately 2 hours away from Columbia and is a scenic drive through the beautiful rolling hills and farmlands of middle Tennessee.
